The Convertabath® Insert Kit can convert your existing bathtub into a walk in shower. This tub to shower conversion kit will allow a do it yourself installation to make a handicap accessible bathtub. Walk in bathtubs can be installed in a few hours at a fraction of the cost for a total tear out. Changing to a walk in shower can be done in any type of tub including acrylic, fiberglass, steel and cast iron.

Your kit comes complete with a step by step DVD. Since few tools are needed for installation, you REALLY can do it yourself!

What types of tubs can be converted?

Most tubs can be converted whether it is made from fiberglass, acrylic, steel or cast-iron.

What kind of tools will I need?

Installation requires some very basic hand tools that most people already have available. The Template instructions will give you a complete list of the tools you may need.

How difficult is the insert to install?

Each kit comes with a DVD showing a complete installation from start to finish.

How long does the installation take to complete?

Cast-iron tubs typically take longer than tubs made of steel and fiberglass. Installers usually only need 45 minutes to an hour after they get 2 to 3 tubs under their belt.

Are the inserts available in colors other than white?

At this time we are only offering the white insert.

Do you offer shower doors to fit the insert?

We do not offer shower doors that fit the insert kit. It is not recommended but it is not impossible. If you want to explore the possibility of a shower door enclosure over your kit, we recommend contacting your local shower door manufacturer to discuss the possibility. This option would most likely be a custom unit that may be more costly than expected.

Will I still be able to take a bath after the insert is installed?

A bath can be taken with the addition of the Quick Tub Cap. The Quick Tub Cap uses submarine technology and clamps on over your insert opening. This allows the user to fill the tub to bathe. After you drain the water, remove the Quick Tub Cap so it returns to a walk in shower. You will not be able to fill your tub without the Quick Tub Cap.

Can I return the kit?

Conversion kits can be returned within 30 days of purchase date as long as it has not been modified and is in original condition. There is a 15% restocking fee on all returns.
